August 2010

Thomas had his 4 year doctor's appointment shortly after our return from Canada. He is officially 1 meter (3' 2.8") tall, 17 kg (37.28 lb), and is generally declared a healthy, curious boy.  He also had his booster shot for measles/mumps/rubella, and should now be immune for the rest of his life.

A week later, James also had the MMR vaccine, first one for him.  Both boys handled it without a murmur, hardly noticing the jab (this one only goes just under the skin, and they both had a special "Emla" plaster to numb the area beforehand).

Settling in back home after our Canadian holiday, Thomas has been collaborating on some interesting creations with his Brio Builder and Lego sets - but swings are still a favourite with both boys.

James had quite a Friday: vaccination, nasty fall off a picnic bench at the day care, teething, and then a rather busy weekend - but he's a tough cookie, and retained his good spirits throughout.

Outing to Frederiksdal with the gang from work: the boys enjoyed the train ride, then the boat (though James slept through most of it), followed by lunch, beach, fishing and watching some of the braver colleagues take a dip in the chilly lake.
