On a visit to the local shopping center, Thomas was delighted to discover a kiddie go-cart track, where a quick practice run with dad was enough to get him going on his own.

James still teething, and finding diversions in various places

In early October James developed a very strange rash, which came and went within minutes over the course of a week or so.  It didn't seem to bother him too much, but looked terrible, only to disappear again by the time a doctor could get a look at it.  We speculated about various allergies or illnesses, but in the end it seemed to be related to teething affecting his immune system, as it all faded again when his upper canines finally peeked through.
